In 2011 I was looking for a subject for my next series of paintings. Being married to a journalist led me to choose the news as the subject. The Subjects vary from natural disasters to school massacres and from immigration to politics. Not any particular news event is depicted in these paintings, except in four paintings based on the assassination of German banker Alfred Herrhausen.
